Which Fire Code Does Your Jurisdiction Actually Use?
NFPA 25 and NFPA 10 are not law until a jurisdiction adopts them — and they adopt different editions, at different times, with their own amendments. That decides what has to be inspected, how often, and what a plan reviewer will send back. Nobody publishes it, so we are.

Every contractor in Ohio learns this the same way — by being told off by an inspector, ringing the fire marshal, and writing it on a sticky note. The knowledge sits in individual heads and disappears when people retire.
