Backflow testing for Del-Co water customers
A non-profit water company serving a large stretch of Delaware, Morrow, Union and Marion counties, including most of the area north of Columbus where city water does not reach. Del-Co publishes a searchable directory of its approved backflow testers.
What Del-Co requires
- How often
- Annually
- Approved tester list
- Del-Co keeps its own list of accepted testers.
- How the result is handled
- Del-Co keeps a public directory of approved backflow testers and expects testing by a tester on it. Lawn irrigation systems specifically must have an approved testable assembly, tested yearly.
- If it is not done
- Keeping the assembly tested and operable is the customer's responsibility as a condition of service.
Confirmed with Del-Co on 2026-10-05 · their backflow page. Requirements change — we re-confirm before every test.
What we do
- Test the assembly with a calibrated gauge, and show you the readings.
- Repair on the spot where we can — we carry rebuild kits for the common RPZ and double check assemblies, so a failure usually does not mean a second visit.
- File the result with the water company, rather than handing you a form to post on.
- Track your due date and come back before it, not after the reminder letter.
